Abstract: In order to reduce the waste of resources and ensure the mining replacement of the mine, the deep hole blasting roof pressure relief gob-side entry retaining technology was applied in No.1727 Face transportation roadway of Gequan Mine. Through the deep hole blasting pre-splitting roof in the advanced working face, the roof formed through cracks in the direction of the roadway. When the roof fell, the stress conduction was cut off to achieve the purpose of roof pressure relief and reduce the mining deformation of the roadway. With the support technology of the retaining roadway and the grouting sealing technology of the goaf, the gob-side entry retaining was realized. The gob-side entry retaining was 505 m in total. Through observation and data analysis, the change of surrounding rock in the range of 100 m behind the working face was large. After 100 m, the surrounding rock gradually tended to be stable, and the overall section of the retaining roadway exceeded 90 % of the original roadway, which satisfied the use of No.1729 working face transport roadway. This technology could provide reference for other similar mines.
