Abstract: In order to reduce roadway tunneling rate and improve mine recovery rate, according to the actual geological condition and mining conditions of No.1902 Face in Xintian Mine, the gob-side entry retaining in transportation roadway was carried out. The control technology of cutting roof by pre-split blasting + roof anchor cable reinforcing surrounding rock was put forward, and different roadway side supporting schemes were applied in different sections. The field application showed that the roadway height of the flexible film bag section was reduced by 0.64 m on average, and the roadway width converged by 0.80 m on average. Compared with the U-shaped steel shed side support scheme, the supporting effect of flexible film bag was better than that of U-shaped steel shed side support scheme. The appropriate surrounding rock control technology of goaf retaining roadway was demonstrated for the subsequent use of goaf retaining roadway.
