No.8 coal seam of 18401 working face of Xiqu Mine of Xishan Coal and Power Group was taken as the research object, the research method of field application of RFPA numerical simulation technology and support scheme was adopted. The results showed that the stability of the surrounding rock of the roadway was inextricably linked with the strength and rigidity of the supporting material. The joint support scheme of the roadway effectively controlled the development of the surrounding rock cracks of the roadway. The surrounding rock of the roadway was basically 25 days after mining. The deformation was kept constant and the stability was controlled.
