The repeated mining of the “three soft” coal seams in the short distance is likely to cause the roof to fall, the coal wall rib-spalling, the mining roadway and the coal pillar instability and other surrounding rock disasters. In order to ensure the safe production under the repeated mining of the “three soft” coal seam group, a mine in Guizhou, comprehensively considered the special geological conditions of a mine. the FLAC3D numerical simulation software was used to control the upper coal seam of the “three soft” coal seams. After the repeated mining, by mining the overlying No. 15 and No. 16 coal seams to simulate the stress distribution of the underlying No. 17 coal seam. It was convenient to arrange and support the roadway and provide reference for safe and efficient mining of working face under similar conditions.
