In order to solve gas overrun in upper corner of close and single coal seam, Wanfeng Mine was taken as study background, the goaf gas source comes mainly from close coal seam, based on the gas source separation idea, technology like the current seam gas control, high drilling controlling upper coal seam gas, bottom drilling plugging dealing with lower coal seam, buried pipe controlling goaf gas, a set of gas control system was settled, the result showed that the gas drainage rate achieved by 69%, the gas content in upper corner stabilized around 0.6%, gas overrun problem got solved.
