In order to effectively solve the problem of roof broken and gas overrun during full-caving mining face through gas drilling field, gas drilling field layout in Y484 working face of Tangshan Mine were summarized and safety measures of working face through gas drilling field was put forward. Drilling method successfully through the gas drill field had achieved good effect; safe production and high production efficiency were ensured as well.
