Based on the geological conditions of the 3833 working face of Chashanling Mine in Jiedong Mining Area, a similar numerical model was established to further study the characteristics of mine pressure in the mining process of steep inclined coal seam. The numerical simulation was carried out by FLAC3D software to ensure that the inclined mining face was compared with the corresponding stress distribution characteristics and range of different dip angle coal seams and different working face propulsion lengths during the overall mining process. The results showed that as the dip angle of the coal seam was expanding, the internal stress of the coal pillar was also decreasing, and the shape of the surrounding rock failure zone would change. With the increase of the propulsion distance, the goaf area of the working face was gradually enlarged, and the contour of the vertical stress distribution also had an asymmetrical characteristic similar to the "butterfly wings".
