In view of the difficulties in mining replacement and serious waste of resources in Xinyuan Mine, the design of the two roadways of the 9104 mining face was retained by the roadway retaining technology to serve the 9105 working face. In order to solve the 9104 return airway at the working face, supporting problems under the influence of dynamic pressure and residual pressure relief were optimized by engineering analogy and numerical simulation. The field application and monitoring results showed that the overall stability of the surrounding rock of the roadway was good, and it could be used as the air inlet roadway of the 9105 working face through the undercover and expanded.
