S8208 high-level drainage roadway of Yangmei No. 1 Mine was taken as the engineering background, engineering analogy, numerical simulation and engineering practice were used to study the lithologic composition types of different surrounding rocks by simulation. The sandstone-mudstone combination area to the sandy mudstone - coal - mudstone combination area wa the key point of support. By comparing the sectional support with the common support, the rationality of supporting the through-roadway by segmentation was proved. The support scheme was proposed and the scheme was verified by mine pressure monitoring, with good support effect.
