Based on fault structure development of Fengfeng Mine, water inrush accidents in some deep mining would be caused easily by high water pressure, as well as joint action of mine pressure and high pressure water head in the process of mining or advancing in upper wall. Therefore, waterproof coal (rock) column should be set. Because of high water pressure and inappropriate size of waterproof coal (rock) column affecting regular production, accurate detection of guide (including) water of fault, fault degree of consolidation, and coal rock integrity near fault zone, setting of fault water resisting coal (rock) pillar was discussed again on the premise of ensure safety of roadway construction. As a result, 0.10 MPa/m was chosen as Ts value to calculate setting through analytical calculation of floor safe thickness of water-resisting layer during roadway construction, advanced distance table and formula, which could not only guarantee its thickness and advanced distance, but create conditions for its accurate detection.
