Roadway top heading mining is effective to achieve rapid mining, there is top caving area in roadway caused by roadway top roof large area collapse due to geological structure, the top caving area along with fault, collapsed column and broken surrounding rock, causing a lot of trouble for mining. By adjusting the layer of fault and less explosion could reduce the lost coal and equipment erosion and improve recovery rate. The layer adjustment of working face must consider top caving area roof support and floor undercover, which can improve the mining condition to the maximum. The application of the technology achieved the intended purpose, the practice showed the technology was reasonable and economic.
