In order to study Yu County coal reverse fault development characteristics and tectonic stress field，based on 2d and 3d seismic data interpretation, through the analysis of the results of seismic interpretation, combined with drilling and roadway expose data, the reverse tectonic domain cascade with large width, long extension distance and the characteristics and development regularities of bedding nappe were studied, it was considered that the regional stress field of reverse fault development should give priority to field with vertical extrusion gravity stress. The analysis result explained the Yu County area revealing various data of  strata reverse fault development well in coal series strata.
