Through analyzing the geologic overview and total return air roadway mining pressure distribution of Caocun Mine, under the complicated stress when 1 124~1 296 m section of total return air roadway crossing large fault, surrounding rock deformation and failure mechanism was settled. Support scheme of roadway was optimized, the whole section of anchor wire rope combined support was adopted to control the surrounding rock deformation, combined with industrial field tests, with good effect, surrounding rock deformation control was in the reasonable field.
