The use of small coal pillars mining along the goaf in the current deep coal seam resource mining is of high significance, which is of great significance for improving mine production efficiency and production safety. However, the stability control of small coal pillars along the goaf is also the current deep roadway support, one of the hot issues of research. The deformation and failure of the wind roadway in No.15 coal seam of Longdingshan Mine was taken as the research object, the deformation and failure characteristics of the roadway, the causes of large-scale deformation and damage of the roadway were studied,. In terms of the original support method, the better control effect of surrounding rock stability was obtained from the field application.
