Based on coal hardness index in gob-side entry driving, gob-side roadway layout and support parameters under medium hard coal condition, coal body of σ-ε、ε- t and σ- t was tested to get the 4 types coal body hardness mold were non-linear, elastic-plastic, evolvement. FLAC3D was applied to simulate the reasonable coal pillar width and support parameters, Strain-Softening Mode of Hoek-Brown was adopted to study deformation law of nonlinear softening material, the reasonable reserve-width of coal pillar and optimized support parameters under medium hard coal condition in gob-side entry driving, with good surrounding rock control effect.
