Based on specific geological conditions of surrounding rock of monkey car roadway in No. 31 mining area of Xiadian Mine, reasons for deformation and failure were analyzed to design and optimize reinforcement forms and parameters in monkey car lane. In order to verify reinforcement effect of new scheme, two representative stations were set up in the tunnel, whose distance was 85m, the cross points method was used to monitor two sides working face displacement and displacement of roadway roof. The result showed that displacement of roof and floor was controlled in about 70 mm, and displacement of two sides was controlled in about 95mm. The new reinforcement scheme had significant effect to control deformation of surrounding rock of monkey car roadway, which obtained good technical and economic benefits.
