Safety monitoring system is an important method to coal mine safety management. With the development of science and technology, mine monitoring substations have progressed from simplicity to complexity in China, from simplification to multifunction, and from individualization to networking. Current?situation and developing tendency of safety monitoring system are introduced and design of coal mine safety monitoring substation based on integration and intelligence of ATmega8 singlechip is promoted. Safety monitoring system increasingly has tendency to integration, intelligence and networking, the technology not only guarantees personnel security, but also provides new reference to management in modern coal mines.
