Aiming at the problem of gas anomaly in the upper corner of 9-806 working face in Pangpangta Coal Mine, the gas content of thick coal seam in working face was determined by fixed-point rapid sampling method. Through the construction of directional high and low fracture boreholes in the working face, the underground mobile gas drainage pumping station was used to drain the gas in the upper fracture zone, goaf, upper corner and the coal seam. The application results show that after using the above method, the gas concentration in the upper corner is kept below 0.5%, and the gas concentration in the return air flow is kept below 0.3%, which ensures the safe production of the mine.
