In order to solve the problem of gas gathering in the corner of 18403 working face which threatened the safe production of working face, Tunlan mine used the combination of field measurement and numerical simulation to analyze the change of gas in the upper corner of high extraction lane with different burial depths, and determined that the gas extraction effect was best when the burial depth was 30 ~ 40 m and the high extraction lane was 20 m away from the coal seam floor and air return roadway, which provided some reference for the safe mining.
