Abstract: The mining of overlying coal seams causes stress redistribution in the surrounding rock of the floor, leading to deformation and damage of the floor roadway, and even causing safety accidents and economic losses. In order to study the stability of the floor roadway under the influence of mining, this article was based on the actual working conditions of coal mining in a certain mine in northern Shaanxi. The simulation software FLAC3D was used for numerical simulation, designed an engineering monitoring plan, and processed relevant data. Finally, the numerical simulation results were compared with the measured data to verify the consistency of the research. Analysis showed that the numerical simulation shows that with the mining of No.3 coal seam, the floor stress changed the distribution of the tunnel stress field, but had little impact on the plastic zone and internal stress of the floor tunnel; The monitoring results indicated that the data obtained from the designed monitoring plan for the main roadway was similar to the numerical simulation. The impact of No.3 coal seam mining on the main roadway was relatively small, and there was no need to strengthen the support for the original roadway.
