In order to eliminate the problem of gas concentration exceeding the limit in the upper corner of the return air caused by the rotary mining of the working face, this paper analyzes the treatment method of the roof of the rotary working face, and studies the basic blasting scheme, explosive installation hole layout, drilling and charging parameters of the three areas of the fan-shaped working face. The results show that the roof blasting pre-splitting scheme can not only eliminate the influence of roof fissure gas emission on the gas concentration in the upper corner of the return air, but also effectively protect the high-level gas drainage boreholes in the return air roadway, which is of great significance to the safe production of coal mines.
