Research on the impact evaluation index and classification of the surrounding rock stability of coal roadway

In order to scientifically and quantitatively evaluate the stability of roadway surrounding rock of No.19 coal seam in Balancheng Mine, the geological structure characteristics, physical and mechanical properties and stress state of surrounding rock of roadway surrounding rock were analyzed by comprehensive methods of field measurement, theoretical analysis, laboratory experiment and numerical simulation. Nine main influencing factors including roof strength, floor strength, coal seam strength, tunnel buried depth, initial fall distance of direct roof, ratio of direct roof thickness to mining height, width of roadway protection coal, mining influence coefficient and stress ratio were obtained. A comprehensive index method was proposed for the stability classification of roadway surrounding rock, combining the classification results of roadway surrounding rock stability of gently inclined and inclined coal seam. The stability of roadway surrounding rock was evaluated comprehensively, and the roadway support scheme was optimized based on the classification results. The research results showed that the surrounding rock stability grade of No.19 coal mine roadway belonged to class III, that was, medium stable surrounding rock.
