As a key bearing component of hydraulic support, the column directly bears the roof pressure and transmits it to the bottom plate. Mastering the mechanical properties of the column is of great significance for improving its performance, prolonging its service life and ensuring coal mine safety production. In this paper, the column of ZQ4000/20.6/45 type advanced unit support in Wangyun Coal Mine is taken as the research object, and its mechanical properties are analyzed. The structural composition and working principle of the column are introduced. The three-dimensional finite element simulation model of the column is established, and the stress distribution characteristics of the column structure under different eccentric load angles and different extension lengths are analyzed. The research results can provide important theoretical support for the reliability design and safe use of the support column, and have important engineering practical value.
