In order to further explore the optimization design of large mining height hydraulic support in thick coal seam, the ZY12000/29/65 two-column shield hydraulic support used in the 11105 working face of the text coal industry is taken as the research object. The problem of poor application effect of the hydraulic support under large mining height coal seam is optimized. A five-link two-column shield hydraulic support is designed, and the size of the three key components of the upper front connecting rod, the lower front connecting rod and the rear connecting rod of the support structure is optimized and adjusted. From the simulation test results, the stress value of the hydraulic support is lower than the allowable stress of the material, indicating that the overall structure of the support is stable and the design is basically feasible.
