In order to solve the problems of poor coordination between pressure behavior and hydraulic support and mismatch of support strength in fully mechanized caving face, taking the selection and evaluation of hydraulic support in 91023 working face of Nanyangpo as the research background, the adaptability of ZF7200/20/32 hydraulic support support resistance was analyzed by theoretical calculation and numerical simulation. The working resistance of hydraulic support should be greater than 6 007 kN by mining height bulk density method, measured statistics method and masonry beam structure analysis method. The rated working resistance of ZF7200/20 /32 top coal caving hydraulic support is 7 200 kN, which can meet the requirements of use. The use effect of the support was analyzed by flac3 d numerical simulation analysis. The research results show that after the ZF7200/20/32 hydraulic support is equipped with the working face, with the mining advance of the working face, the overall deformation of the surrounding rock is small, the stress environment is good, the overall force of the support is uniform, and the bearing limit is not exceeded. The control effect of surrounding rock stability is remarkable, which can provide a safe stress environment for the production of the working face.
