Abstract: The working face of Baozigou coal mine is a hard and difficult caving roof. After the mining of the working face, a large area of the working face is suspended in the goaf, and it does not collapse in the short term, resulting in the difficulty of top coal caving during the initial mining period, low recovery rate, high pressure of mining roadway, serious deformation and damage, etc. The traditional blasting roof control technology has the problems of large engineering quantity, high cost and pollution of underground air. In view of this situation, taking 10109 fully mechanized caving face of Baozigou Coal Industry as an example, from the perspective of hard roof control, hydraulic fracturing roof cutting and pressure relief technology is introduced to destroy the integrity of roof and realize pressure transfer. Practice shows that hydraulic fracturing roof cutting improves the recovery rate of top coal in the initial mining of fully mechanized caving face, reduces the pressure of roadway and the degree of deformation and failure, and provides technical support for safe and efficient mining of mine.
