Abstract: In order to explore the structural characteristics of Liupanshuitucheng syncline and the influence of gas occurrence control in Guizhou Province, based on the geological exploration of Tucheng syncline coalfield and the measured data of the mine, the structural characteristics of the syncline and the influence of mine gas occurrence are analyzed, and the factors affecting the gas occurrence in the region are analyzed. The results show that the Tucheng syncline is generally NW-SE-trending, and the axis is arc-shaped, 50 km long and 2-8 km wide. The coal measures strata are affected by multi-stage tectonics, and the coal seam differentiation is mainly thin coal seam and medium thick coal seam. The thickness of coal seam in the northwest wing of syncline gradually becomes thinner along the south-east direction of syncline, while the thickness of coal seam in the southeast wing of syncline gradually becomes thicker along the south-east direction. The coal seam gas content is mainly concentrated in 4 ~ 12 m3·t-1, and the occurrence of coal seam gas content decreases first and then increases along the southeast direction, and the occurrence law is large at both ends and small in the middle. The burial depth of coal seam, the lithology of coal seam roof and floor, the thickness of rock strata and the characteristics of mine fault structure all affect the content of coal seam gas to a certain extent.
