Hydraulic support plays an important role in ensuring coal mine safety, and the top beam is an important bearing structure in hydraulic support. The ZY9200/25/50D hydraulic support of Huangling No.1 Coal Mine was analyzed and studied. The stress of the top beam was analyzed by Ansys software. It was found that there was obvious stress concentration. The maximum stress was 516.517 MPa, and the structural safety factor was low. After research and analysis, Q690 material is welded to the stress concentration plate to form a composite plate to improve the stiffness and strength of the part. The practice shows that the maximum stress of the optimized top beam is 355.793 MPa, which is more than 30% lower than that before optimization. The safety factor of the top beam is 1.55, which ensures the stability and reliability of the equipment operation.
