Hanging wall roof stratum may collapse and cause serious roof accident when working face is advancing from footwall to hanging wall, 1301 and 1304 working face of Hexi Mine were taken as example, giving full account for roof collapse height of working face nearby crossing similar fault, the maxim height of working face water fractured zone was 70.24 m. The result showed that the width of protection coal column based on the design acted protective role, and provided reference for working face crossing fault roof under similar geological condition.
