Aiming at the problems of insufficient transportation capacity, long running time and insufficient maintenance time of belt conveyor in main inclined shaft of Kaiyuan Mine, this paper puts forward the design scheme of speed-up transformation. The scheme keeps the bandwidth unchanged, increases the belt speed from 3.5 m/s to 4 m/s, increases the traffic volume to more than 1 200 t/h, and replaces the key components such as motor, reducer and power supply and distribution facilities accordingly. After calculation and selection, the reformed belt conveyor system meets the production demand and ensures the safety and efficiency of mine production.
