In the 0.5 L high pressure reactor,the activity test of liquid phase hydrogenation of benzene was studied. On the basis of adding the preferred homemade catalyst and dispersant to water, different kinds of catalyst additive were added, the active experiment was carried out after the pretreatment process. The composition of product was obtained by gas chromatography, and the evaluation index of additive was the yield of cyclohexene. The experimental results showed that the effects of inorganic additives were better than organic additives and ionic liquids, the best additive was ZnSO4·7H2O which could make the yield of cyclohexene reach 48.1%.
