In view of the problems of potential safety hazards and unstable drainage effect in the low-level drainage roadway in the existing gas comprehensive control system of No.15301 fully mechanized caving face in Chengzhuang Coal Mine, the alternative gas control measures were found. According to the actual situation of No.15301 Face in Chengzhuang Coal Mine, the alternative measures of low level drainage roadway were compared and selected. Finally, the directional drilling rig was used to construct the low level directional drilling and drainage, and the specific scheme was designed and studied. The practice showed that the designed ' hole instead of roadway ' trend low position directional long borehole test scheme effectively solved the problems existing in the low-position extraction roadway, preliminarily realized the gas extraction effect of ' hole instead of roadway ', and ensured the safe and efficient mining of coal mines.
