Abstract: In order to improve the gas control measures in goaf and solve the problem of tight construction period of high drainage roadway in the process of mining and excavation, this paper takes E2306 fully mechanized mining face of Gaohe Coal Mine as the engineering background, and puts forward the gas drainage technology of ' hole instead of roadway ' with high large diameter horizontal long borehole, and sets up 6 boreholes with 203 mm aperture and 650 m depth of single hole in the coal seam drilling field for gas drainage. The measured results show that the average concentration of gas in the return air flow is 0.26%, and the average concentration of gas in the upper corner is 0.24 %. The gas concentration is significantly reduced, and the problem of gas overrun is fundamentally solved.
