Abstract: Wuxin Coal Industry was a resource integration mine, and No.11 coal was mined out. In order to ensure the safe excavation of the lower No.13 coal seam roadway, combined with the hydrogeological situation and mining conditions of the mine, after the No.13 coal seam development roadway was excavated to the boundary of the No.11 coal seam goaf, the transient electromagnetic method was used to detect the water accumulation in the overlying goaf. The exploration found that there was a large range of low-resistance abnormal areas in the overlying goaf, and it was judged that there was a large amount of water accumulation in the overlying goaf. Therefore, the exploration and drainage borehole was designed for drainage, and the cumulative water discharge was 99,000 m3, which successfully relieved the threat of water accumulation in the overlying goaf of close-distance coal seams.
