Abstract: This paper presents a method for the determination of residual solvents in metamizole sodium, which can be used for the determination of residual formaldehyde in metamizole sodium. The detection method is as follows: DB-WAX column, FID detector, column temperature 80 ℃, injector temperature 200 ℃, detector temperature 350 ℃, under programmed heating condition, calculation by external standard method. The results showed that there was a good linear relationship between formaldehyde concentration at 50.0 ~ 300.0 mg/mL, RSD was less than 5% , R2 was 0.999 8, the peak shape is good, the separation of solvent peak and formaldehyde peak is good, the method is simple, rapid, accurate and sensitive, and can be used for the quantitative determination of Formaldehyde content, thus ensuring the quality improvement of analgin.
