Abstract: In order to solve the problems of large deformation of surrounding rock and difficult control of floor heave in the second panel of No. 15 coal seam of Chengzhuang Mine, through the investigation of geological conditions and analysis of shale composition in the floor, it was concluded that the multi-layer dirt band in the side of the roadway led to the development of joint surface, and the high content of expansive minerals in the shale in the floor led to the violent floor heave of the roadway. The paper put forward the technology of pre grouting reinforcement of floor and reinforcement of anchor cable. The field monitoring showed that the floor heave of roadway was effectively controlled after the reinforcement of roadway, and the amount of floor heave was basically controlled at about 20 mm, which ensured the stability of surrounding rock of roadway in panel area.
