Abstract: No. 3 coal seam of Changping Mine was taken as an example, the basic principles and detection scheme of coal roadway over-detection were designed, and the safety feasibility of implementing coal roadway over-detection and release by bottom pumping roadway through seam drilling was demonstrated. The research results showed that according to the geological conditions of the well field, the No.3 coal seam roadway can be divided into safe area, water threatened area and abnormal area; the detection plan of controlling the overrun distance ≥30 m and sides distance ≤25 m in thesafe area roadway overrun detection and release hole was formulated; the bottom pumping roadway penetration hole completely covered the requirement of 20 m side distance and 30 m side distance of No.3 coal seam roadway. The study results showed that it was safe and feasible to implement coal seam roadway over-drilling technology in the safe area with the requirement of 30 m over-distance in the bottom extraction roadway. The results of the study improved the mine safety production efficiency, with obvious economic benefits.
