In order to reduce the gushing water after mining, especially the gushing water in the process of periodic roof collapse, underground drilling was used to explore and release the water-bearing layer on the roof of the working face, and the water-bearing layer on the roof can be cut and leveled off to stabilize the water gushing and ensure the safe mining. Practice proved that, in strict accordance with the provisions of water exploration and release of the overlying rock aquifer to explore and release, was an effective and feasible method to reduce the amount of water gushing after mining.
