The first fully mechanized top caving face along gob-side entry in Jincheng was taken as a example, the channel deformation and the roof pressure change during the secondary recovery mining of gob-side entry were systematically analyzed, the mining pressure deformation law was got. ①The main deformation of the roadway was the displacement of the roof and floor during the recovery, the deformation of the two sides was mainly the bulging of the upper side. ② In the first 200 m of goaf roadway mining, the roadway pressure area was mainly within the range of 20 m in advanced support. In the 300~450 m section advancing, the mine pressure was the most obvious, and the roadway pressure area was mainly within the range of 50 m from the coal wall. ③ In the process of goaf entry retention driving, the lateral pressure of coal wall increased first, and the roof pressure was mainly manifested in the pressure transmitted by the direct roof and the old roof. ④ According to the mine pressure analysis of gob-side entry retention, effective measures must be taken to prevent the side bolt, and the protection range should be within 40 m from the coal wall.
