The 1692 working face of Qianjiaying Mine was taken as the background, the mining influence of the lower 12 coal seam mining on the overlying 9 coal seam 1692 working face was numerically simulated, the characteristics of mining stress distribution and displacement change law were identified, the strength calibration of 4-10 m wide coal column was carried out, and the influence range of the overriding support pressure of the 9 coal seam 1692 working face after the 12 coal mining was settled. The results showed that the 1692 working face was located in the lower 12 coal mining fissure zone, and the working face settlement became obviously larger; it was most reasonable when the width of coal pillar was set at 6 m, which was in line with the actual coal pillar reservation of the 1692 working face; the over-front support pressure increases during the mining advance of the 1692 working face, and its influence range was 26 m.
