Fault DF1 was revealed during the mining of 3101 working face of Wujia Mine of Yangtai Group. In order to ensure smooth mining, the stress distribution of the roadway near the fault was analyzed and a numerical model was established. The simulation results showed that the influence of the fault on the roadway was within 30 m, and the closer to the fault, the higher the concentration of stress in the roadway. According to the mine experience and geological conditions, a backing of 28.4 m was selected and the roof was lifted at 10 °. During the construction process, the bolt + anchor cable + grouting support scheme was adopted. The field observation showed that the final deformation of the roof remained at 80 mm, the final deformation of the bottom plate was stable at 87 mm, the final movement of the coal pillar was maintained at 97 mm, and the final movement of the solid coal was 68 mm, which ensured the safe mining, with good control effect of surrounding rock.
