In order to grasp the distribution law of surrounding rock stress of top-loading unloading and non-coal mining and determine the reasonable cutting parameters, the stress distribution of the roof of the retaining road and the deformation characteristics of the surrounding rock were analyzed to divide the stress distribution of the roof into In five sub-areas, the deformation characteristics of surrounding rock in the roadway were divided into five periods. Combined with the specific characteristics of the 1226 working face, the numerical simulation was used to simulate the cutting height and the cutting angle. The results showed that the reasonable cutting height of 1226 working face transportation roadway was 11 m and the cutting angle was 15°. The maximum sinking amount of the roof of the roadway under the cutting parameters was 220 mm, which can ensure the stability of surrounding rock in the roadway.
