In order to effectively analyze the overburden movement laws and pressure characteristics during the mining of the 15502 working face in Shangshe Mine, a combination of theory + simulation + actual measurement was used to analyze the overburden movement laws and working faces pressure situation and the adaptability of the support of the 15502 high mining face were analyzed. The results showed that during the mining process of the 15502 high mining face, the height of the overburden rock collapse zone reached 40 m, and the fracture zone height was 45.5 ~ 51 m. The average initial strike step and average cycle strike step were 40 and 22 m, the average working resistance of the support during the period of pressure was 8 432 kN, the support adaptability was good, but the coal wall flakes were severe during the mining process, and the management of the coal wall stability needed to be strengthened.
