Based on serious deformation of 14505 transportation roadway during drivage and recovery process, roadway deformation mechanism was analyzed through ground stress test and numerical simulation. The direction of roadway arrangement was oblique to maximum principal stress, which led to larger interference to roadway and presented asymmetrical deformation. Relevant control measures were put forward and numerical simulation as well as field rock pressure observation were carried out. The roadway after strengthening support could meet application requirements during mining period.
