Caprolactam-tetrabutylammonium bromide ( CPL-TBAB ) ionic liquids and rare earth mental lanthanum ( La ) were loaded on mushroom residue activated carbon to absorb and catalyze sulfur dioxide ( SO2 ), and the catalysis, absorption and remove efficiency of SO2 were measured. The results show that the modified mushroom residue activated carbon by CPL-TBAB ionic liquids and La is effective for removing SO2 , while it also can reduce the activity because the pore of mushroom residue activated carbon is blocked.
