Pig receivers and launchers are important equipments for pipeline cleaning,and connect with long-distance transport pipes and process pipelines at station. The Iran oil transportation pipeline launchers were designed, design parameters were determined. The applicability of the materials is considered in the acidic environment, the shell thickness and the opening reinforcement were calculated, the tests of water pressure, heat treatment and impact and so on were considered.
