β-Ni(OH)2 doped with Co and Zn was oxidized to become β-NiOOH.β-NiOOH blended with MnO2 was used as active materials to build alkaline batteries which cathode is zinc powder. Through comparing the discharge performance of the battery and high temperature retention capacity, the electric properties of β-NiOOH modified material is obviously improved.
