Based on calculation formula result of routine operational resistance of endless rope winch is smaller than its virtual resistance, equivalent calculating formula of running resistance of endless rope winch was put forward through quantification. The site validation showed that running resistance of winch could be calculated effectively by equivalent calculating formula if the deviation between measured values was controlled within 15%, which could meet production demands.
