Abstract:Based on the research background of gob-side entry driving with small coal pillar in 81215 fully mechanized caving face of No. 2 Coal Mine of Yangmei Group, the reasonable coal pillar width was obtained by theoretical calculation as 6.57 ~ 7.68 m. Then, the stress distribution, fracture development characteristics and roadway deformation law in the coal pillar of 81215 return airway under different coal pillar widths were analyzed by UDEC numerical simulation software, and the reasonable coal pillar width was determined as 8 m. According to the field conditions, the supporting scheme of gob-side entry driving is proposed. The field test results show that the width of 8 m coal pillar and the deformation of roadway under the supporting scheme are small, which can meet the safe and efficient production needs of the mine.
