In order to improve the recovery rate of coal resources and the maintenance effect of roadways and reduce the cost of support, the theoretical foundation and design method of bolt support along the roadway of Licun Mine were optimized according to the engineering geology. The pretension of the anchor rod was determined to be in the range of 25 ~ 40 kN, and the supporting strength of the roadway anchor rod was 0.2~0.3 MPa. Industrial tests showed that the maximum approaching distance of the two sides along the empty roadway was 120 mm, the maximum sinking amount of the roof 21 mm, and the maximum approaching distance of the left side 58 mm. The deformation of the surrounding rock was effectively controlled; Below the yield load, there was no bolt broken due to excessive force. The bolt support effectively controlled the deformation of the surrounding rock and played a good supporting role.
